Capital: Muscat
Location: With a land mass of 310,000 square kilometres, Oman is the third largest country in the Arabian Peninsular with the United Arab Emirates dividing a small section in the northernmost tip.

Language: Arabic is the official language, but English is widely spoken.
Religion: Islam is the official religion, however other religions are also respected.
Ramadan: The Holy Month is a month of fasting when Muslims abstain from eating, drinking and smoking. As a sign of respect, visitors are also required to refrain from eating, drinking and smoking in public during daylight hours.
